Amazon Workspaces Error: We can't sign in to your account

When I log into a specific AWS Workspace I get the windows error: We can't sign in to your account

The fix for this is to login to the account via safe mode... which obviously isnt possible via Workspaces. Is there any way that I can fix this (other than to delete the workspace and rebuild)? This happned after I made two changes:

Upgraded to more CPU/RAM Changed from AutoStop to AlwaysOn

I spent most of the day setting this machine up with the software needed, and I would hate to have repeat this (especially indefinately).

Any suggestions?

If you can't sign in to the WorkSpace, it has to do with either the credentials are not authenticating against the Domain Controller correctly (e.g. wrong password), or the WorkSpace has lost it's domain membership. Have you attempted a rebuild?

This happened to me after I changed my Compute Type from 'Value' to 'Performance'. I manually rebooted the workspace using the AWS Console for Workspaces in order to fix it.

I had the same issue after changing the compute type of a WorkSpace. I tried rebooting it without success. How I managed to correct the issue is by rebuilding the WorkSpace. Not sure how this solution could have helped the op since it recovers the last snapshot. Please review the documentation https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/rebuild-workspace.html before using this solution as you might loose data. Not sure how this happens though but modifying the compute type seems to have this possible undesided effect.

I just had this happen to me after AWS tech support asked me to resize my workspace to Power Pro as part of troubleshooting a problem where my session was frequently interrupted. Rebooting doesn't help. I had a LOT of important data in my Documents folder, which is now inaccessible (gone?). This is happening just when I'm in a time crunch trying to get a project finished. Thanks for nothing, AWS tech support! You not only didn't solve my problem, you made it infinitely worse!
