Spam volume through WorkMail has significantly increased, with no end in sight

In the last few weeks/months, the volume of email that has been getting past WorkMail's spam filters has absolutely exploded. Now a significant percentage of my daily email traffic consists of spam messages. In the last two to three days, a lot of these messages have been fake Reddit and LinkedIn notifications. They arrive frequently throughout the day and are very annoying. I've tried setting up custom rules to cut down on the volume, but no matter how many rules I create, the volume seems to be the same. Very frustrating. What can be done about this? It's disruptive to my productivity.
