Hi,
not knowing what is the goal of your learning (job, upskill etc..) is a bit tricky. Given the above information I would simply start by creating an API is the cloud. You have two flavors:
- REST APIs. with API gateway. This workship could be a good hands on start: https://catalog.workshops.aws/general-immersionday/en-US/basic-modules/20-vpc/api-gateway. It will also involve creating Lambda functions in NodeJs which can be seen here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/latest/dg/lambda-nodejs.html
- GraphQL API. You can try this workshop to see how to create a GraphQL based API:https://catalog.us-east-1.prod.workshops.aws/workshops/67662c95-2007-4281-ae51-5313cd7caa67/en-US/lab0-prereqs
After that you can either create the AWS resources manually as a start, and then trying to provision them via Infrastructure as Code CDK. Here you can find a couple of resources:
- Introduction to IaC: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/whitepapers/latest/introduction-devops-aws/infrastructure-as-code.html
- Introduction to CDK: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cdk/v2/guide/work-with-cdk-javascript.html
Finally, explore patterns and combination of how AWS can interact with each others, specially event driven architectures: https://serverlessland.com/.
Hope this helps!
