[WAF Error] Can't create a new project

Question

Hello, I've been having problems creating a new project, both empty and default, and following the other answers doesn't seem to be helping me a whole lot.

I do not have the compile for Android/Linux check boxes marked, and I've tried changing the name of the project in the boot file.

I've attached the error files I got when trying to create a new project. These logs are the ones I got AFTER changing the name of the project in the boot file.

I don't know how to proceed, any help is greatly appreciated.

looking through the error logs, it says it cannot find afxres.h.

Did you install the MFC package?

heh, funny enough, that's the same page that i went to to figure out if you had the MFC package installed or not. XD

I did, but apparently it didn't?

I followed Microsoft's setup, but apparently that wasn't correct, however, your mention of afxres.h helped me find similar questions with solutions, I'm currently trying a few of them. Will update/mark as answered if I manage to make them work as well.

Edit: Alright, it works. I followed [this](https://community.developers.thomsonreuters.com/questions/8225/fatal-error-rc1015-cannot-open-include-file-afxres.html) to get the correct MFC package installed.
