Can I keep CentOS Linux 7 after the end-of-life notification?

Hi Guys,

We do not want to migrate from CentOS Linux 7 to any other version for some internal reasons. What would happen If we do not take any action? Would AWS migrate my instances automatically? Would it stop working? The Dashboard says the event is scheduled for June  2024 but I do not find a way to cancel it.

Hello.

I think it is possible to keep EC2 running continuously.  
However, please note that you will not be able to perform security updates, etc.  
This is because, from the perspective of the shared responsibility model, the EC2 OS layer and above are the responsibility of the user, so they can continue to use it at their own risk.
