Software skinning makes character invisible?

0

My workflow is Adobe fuse -> mixamo (generate facial blendshapes) -> download character fbx -> put the fbx inside the characters folder and open with gepetto. All is fine, I can play body animations (also generated by mixamo) in the editor but when I enable "software skinning" to get the blendshapes to work (for face animation) my character becomes invisible.

EDIT: doesn't work with the CryENGINE blend shape tutorial character either. I'm going to make a separate post for a tutorial request on the subject. Edit2: doesn't work with multiple different fuse characters, and with materials disabled.

Hey @REDACTEDUSER

Sorry you've been running into problems. There is a known issue right now with the Software Skinning for testing blend shapes in Geppetto not drawing your render mesh. We have a fix for this coming later. Apologies for the inconvenience.

@REDACTEDUSER

In the materials that you are using, is Phong Tessellation, PN Triangle Tessellation or Displacement Mapping turned on? I've noticed those give some strange results at times.
